Keke shielded her eyes, and even from behind her shelter, Mari knew to do the same. Surai was unfazed by the light and stared directly into it. The light pulsated and a metallic voice rang out. "Prepare yourself monster! As the light faded a figure came into focus. He was about as tall as Surai. The man was clad in heavy looking all-white plate armor. He wielded a huge tower-shield on his right arm that was nearly as tall as him. In his left was a long black and white sword. A mane of white hair peeked out from his helmet. A long cape flowed down from his mantle and blew in the light breeze. His piercing gaze was no longer delivered through ominous red eyes; instead, he now glared at Surai through his helmet with glowing blue eyes. "I am The White Knight, Ryo Riusa!" came his voice. The two men stood facing each other; Surai in front of Keke, and Ryo in front of Shey. Riusa placed his weapon across his back and it attached itself. He turned toward Shey and dropped to a knee. Ryo opened his hand toward her and a blue light was projected from his palm and covered Shey's body. The hole in her stomach closed and her breathing steadied, yet she did not regain consciousness. Her resurrecion form dispersed and she lay on the ground unconscious. "I'm sorry my dear," said Ryo, "Rest now, and I'll take care of this."
Surai watched Ryo's action's with curiosity, Raidenryu did not view the man as a threat. As soon as Ryo stood back up though, Raidenryu appeared to have grown bored with him. Before Ryo could even turn around, Surai coiled his legs and lunged toward Ryo appearing behind him faster than light. Surai transferred all of the kinetic force of the movement into a ferocious punch at Ryo's face as he faced him. The moment Surai's fist came into contact with the Knight, a shockwave erupted, throwing Keke fifty feet in one direction, and and Shey fifty feet in the other. The impact blast instantly formed a crater in the sand underneath the two men and launched a flurry of sand up all around.
Mari had been watching the event from afar and had screamed as the monster man lunged. Her shriek was drowned out by the shockwave though. She watched as Mommy landed on the ground near her and rolled. Mari left from behind her rock and ran toward her mother. As the child reached her she saw she was still alive and breathing steadily. "Daddy did it!" she thought to herself. She looked back toward the sandstorm.
Surai momentarily wrestled enough control away from Raidenryu to turn his attention toward finding Keke. However as he faced back forward, shock from what he saw allowed Raidenryu to re assume control. Surai's attack had definitely connected and his arm was still outstretched.... however as the sand settled and Surai saw what was at the end of his fist, he could feel Raidenryu's rage building. Surai's outstretched fist was still in contact with the side of Ryo Riusa's face.... the Knight hadn't budged an inch. Surai jumped back and eyed his enemy. The Knight glared at Surai with disappointment. He spoke in his metallic voice, "I wouldn't expect such dishonor from a Soul Reaper. Attacking an enemy while his back is turned," he looked into Surai's bloodthirsty eyes, "I guess you truly are nothing more than a monster now." Surai's eye twitched. The Thunder Berserker breathed in deeply and let loose a feral roar. He formed only one more coherent thought, "Monster? I'll show him a monster!" He completely receded into his own mind, keeping only a small grip on himself allowing Rairyu full control. The Berserker felt the adrenaline of facing a powerful opponent. He dispersed the thunder cloud over head for more focus on physical strength. His Spiritual Pressure jumped even higher. He appeared to start foaming at the mouth as a white fluid flowed from the edges of his lips. The white fluid was also flowing from both his eyes.
Riusa was unfazed. "Some new technique," he thought. As the monster howled, Ryo observed his surroundings. He saw Mari in the distance near Shey. Even from as far away as he was, he could tell the child was having difficulty breathing. He began calculating how long it would take to evacuate her and her mother to a safe location when something caught his attention, The female Soul Reaper, Keke, was on the ground suffocating, just barely clinging to consciousness. Dammit," muttered Riusa, "I promised to let her live... and a promise is a promise." He looked back to his family. "I can't carry them all," he said to himself, "Only thing I can do is suppress Surai's Spiritual Pressure." He turned back to Surai and his eyes grew wide. Surai was no longer roaring, and the fluid was no longer dribbling from his lips or running from his eyes. Surai opened his eyes and glared at Riusa. Surai's sclera were black and his pupils were yellow... however, as terrifying as this sight was, there was one thing that was even more chilling and shocked Riusa. The piercing gaze came through the eyeholes of a terrifying Hollow mask shaped like a dragon.
